About TheAtoms

Why TheAtoms started

TheAtoms started with one observation from teaching DSA in college classrooms: most students do not fail at problem solving because they lack talent. They fail because they memorise solutions instead of learning the patterns underneath them, and they skip the basics that those patterns stand on.

So we teach the other way round. First the fundamentals, properly. Then the patterns. Then enough practice that recognising a pattern in a new problem becomes natural.

What we teach

We started with Data Structures and Algorithms, and that is still the core. The same approach now extends to other technical subjects such as web development and generative AI, as courses are published.

How we teach

Strong basics first. Memory, recursion, complexity and the core data structures, before anything advanced.

Patterns, not memorised answers. Two pointers, sliding window, hashing, prefix sums, stacks, trees, graphs and dynamic programming, each taught as a way of thinking you can reuse.

Practice you can verify. Problems are solved on LeetCode and GeeksforGeeks, and progress is read from your own profile, so what you see on your dashboard is what you actually solved.

Three ways to learn

Free courses. Structured lessons that pair a video with a written explanation, resources and practice. Anyone can start.

Cohorts. A fixed schedule with live classes, recordings, a mentor and weekly reviews, for learners who want guidance and accountability.

College workshops. Hands-on sessions run with institutions, with attendance and progress tracked for the college.

The instructor

TheAtoms is led by Jaya Sai Gorre, a DSA instructor and technical trainer who has taught at multiple colleges. He is GATE qualified twice and works in the industry alongside teaching, so what you learn stays close to what interviews actually ask.
